Healthy Ageing project was initiated and co-ordinated by the Swedish National Institute of Public Health and co-funded by the European Commission in 2004-2007. The project aimed to promote healthy ageing among people aged 50 years and over. Here below you can find the project report "Healthy Ageing - a challenge for Europe" in english language. If you follow the link also a short version of the main report is available in several European languages

The Food in Later Life project was funded by the 5th Framework Programme of the European Commission and coordinated by the University of Surrey, UK.

 

Project Results:

 

• a longitudinal, qualitative and quantitative scientific data on the relationship between food intake, nutritional well being, health and quality of life among older people.
• an understanding of the specific food procurement and consumption requirements of older men and women living alone as compared to those living with others. 
• an active dissemination and consultation with stakeholders, thus enhancing older peoples nutritional well being, health and quality of life through food and service provision
