The European Commission, thanks to its Grundtvig Program, has identified as a priority reaching out to adults who are facing social problems and giving a second chance for adults out of or excluded from the public education system.

Health education, is an essential part of informal adult education and is a key factor in improving the health and the quality of life of older adults.

The EHLE Project will mainly focus on:

  • Understanding how messages on healthy lifestyles are perceived in different groups within society and how to address the most vulnerable and the less educated.
  • Understanding how information on medication, food, use of alcohol, tabacco and physical activity is given to older adults through labelling, advertising, marketing and other channels.
